I would like to thank the thousands of people that came out to support the play “The Power, The Passion and The Pulpit.” This weekend was truly amazing and I really appreciate all of your love and support. I hope the play provoked thought and conversation and in some way touched your heart, mind and soul as well.
As Always,

The play was wonderful and everybody did a very good job. It was an interesing spin on a long going issue in some churches. WOMEN and MEN can get caught up in their position and loss sight of what is right or wrong. All of us are just flesh whats makes us weak so no one is above falling , even MEN and WOMEN who are leaders of our churches. There are also WOMEN who are in the same position as leaders and have affairs with members of their church.Loved the play can’t wait to see the next one.
I felt convicted and empowered at the same time. I had so many questions…for my pastor, for the cast, for the director, for myself. I laughed until my sides hurt. I dug into the depth of my mind for understanding. It was an amazing exerience. I’d see the play again and again.
Lamar, you never cease to amaze me. I believed in your talent when you first shared the script of Decption and Denial with me. I am so proud to see the growth and the blessings that continue to come your way. There is a huge responisbility that comes with bringing a message such as “The Power, the Passion, and the Pulpit.” Anything that I can do to help….call me.,
“Experience” LOL
I thought the play was amazing it showed the realism of what’s going on in many churches, I’ve seen all your other plays and I love them, but I think this play is the best one, it had such a deeper meaning. I like how you went back and forth to the past and the present, I never seen that before in any other play(s), that definitely stands out and separates you from other playwriters. My 2 sisters attended this play with me they are very honest with their opinions, if they don’t like or like something they definitely will voice their opinions, they both loved the play, they said this play is definitely going to take you far or to the top . One of my sisters stated,” that this play has real actors in it”. I hope you give an “ENCORE” show, because I want my 2 teenage sons to see it. I like to say congratulations, this play is a winner.
I think this was an excellent play with an anointed cast. I came with a group from my church and we got on the phone as soon as we left to tell everyone not to miss the last showing. This was such a poignant and timely message that needed to be heard. Continue to allow to God to use you and bless you in such a great manner.
This was a ground-breaking production! I am heavily involved in ministry and understand church politics & antics. The scandals and characters presented in this play exist and are real to so many people. It took a lot of courage to hold a mirror up to the church and say “look at yourself…examine your issues rather than sweeping them under the rug “. I appreciate the fact that the play never bashed the church only asked questions and enlightened so many. I went with my Bishop & 1st Lady and they loved it. Can’t wait until the next play…
Hey Lamar,
I know that it’s always good to hear good feed back and I wanted to just share some of the great comments that I heard. I happen to run into a good friend of mine at your play on Saturday who was a First Lady of a Church here in Harford County, We talked today and she said that she loved your play and so did the other people that were with them. She said for someone who is just starting out, you ranked up there with the best. The actors were great and extremely believable and the story line was great! That says a lot coming from a First Lady of a church (smile). Everyone was extremely impressed by Walter’s character and the young man who played him as a child.
The group of people that I came with truly enjoyed it as well. You really have a talented group of people that you are working with.

Lamar,
The play was phenomenal! I applaud you for taking the courage and the risk to create a work that addresses (and even provided a response) to the ever so contreversial issue of t”he church”. I attended the Saturday performance and certainly wished I could have seen the Sunday one as well…it was just that good. Audience memders on Saturday were literally sitting on the edge of their seats!! I’ve never seen such a reaction to any show, movie, play, etc…That speaks volumes about the affect you had on the public. The cast delivered a truly convincing show! The character I most appreciated was Walter’s character, Pstr. Mission Jr. His fire, his passion, his determination is something that I see in you as well…Keep speaking and delivering the truth through your work! BRAVO I too look forward to an encore performance…
